LGBTQ+ cycling clubs in the UK

Find your people, discover local rides and help grow a stronger cycling community.

Independent clubs, shared community

Out Velo is an LGBTQ+-led road cycling club, open to all. We work with other inclusive and LGBTQ+ led cycling clubs across the UK, sharing experience and bringing riders together.

Our mission is to bring cyclists together from across the UK’s other inclusive or LGBTQ+ led cycling clubs, who we work in collaboration with.

Our aim is to support the growth of local, independent clubs in every major city.

Most of our members are also part of one or more of these groups. We are proud of our friends, and of the wider community that forms when independent clubs support one another.

LGBTQ+ and inclusive cycling clubs

These are clubs and communities Out Velo knows and works alongside. Each has its own character, ride styles and ways to get involved. Follow the links for current details and upcoming rides.

Club details and ride schedules can change. Please check each group’s own page before travelling or joining a ride. Logo images are shown from club or BikeOut pages where available; each club name links to its own website or Instagram profile.

Start a local cycling club

If there isn’t a group where you live, you can help create one. Regular rides and consistent promotion give people a reliable way to find you, know what to expect and come back. Share dates clearly, keep the rides welcoming, and let local LGBTQ+ networks and cycling communities know you’re riding.

You won’t have to build alone. Out Velo can support new local groups, share rides with our members in your area and connect you with the other clubs. You’ll be part of a wider community that can come together for rides, weekends and events such as BikeOut.

If you’re starting a club or would like your group added to this page, email Out Velo.

Coming together at BikeOut

Together with Rapha, Out Velo helps run BikeOut, an LGBTQ+ cycling festival created through collaboration between independent clubs. It brings riders and groups together for road, gravel and social riding, and helps strengthen the connections between local cycling communities.

BikeOut is one example of what clubs can do together: share experience, welcome new riders and make LGBTQ+ cycling more visible across the country.
